Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) – Provide services and access to funding; Passport is a funding program that helps adults 18 years or older with a developmental disability (limitations in cognitive and adaptive functioning that began before 18 years of age) to participate in their communities. It also helps caregivers of an adult with a developmental disability take a break from their caregiving responsibilities. Passport is funded by the Ontario Government and administered by local Passport Agencies. It is suggested that you begin the application process before the age of 18. Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) – 18 years and older, in financial need and meet the program’s definition of a person with a disability
Autism Ontario Scholarships for Post-Secondary Education – Each year, Autism Ontario awards scholarships to outstanding students entering their first year of a post-secondary program throughout Ontario. They accept online applications for awards starting in April (so April 2022).
Building Brighter Futures Fund - provides financial assistance directly to adults with autism in Ontario through a reimbursement of funds spent to access greater participation in their local communities (e.g., program fees for recreation or skill development, respite, professional supports, tuition, or other creative solutions connected to building life plans for adults with ASD will be considered for subsidy). Successful candidates will receive reimbursement of up to $500.00. An individual may receive this subsidy only once
